We take your privacy seriously, but we also believe privacy policies shouldn't require a law
degree to understand. Here's exactly what we collect and why.
What we store about you
- Your name: to know what to call you
- Your email address: to send you digests and important updates
- Your unique Stripe Customer ID: to link your payment to your account
That's it. We don't store your password (we use magic links), we don't track you across the
web, and we don't sell your data.
What happens to your analytics data

When we generate your digest, we fetch data from your connected analytics platform
(Plausible, Fathom, Simple Analytics, DataFast, Pirsch, or GA4)

We send this data to OpenAI to generate your insights and actions. This may include any
data available from your analytics provider: page views, referrers, top pages, geographic
data, etc
- We do not store your raw analytics data. Once your digest is generated, the
underlying analytics data is discarded

We do keep a record of the insights and action points we generated, so we can follow up on
them in future digests (e.g., "Last month we suggested X - here's how it went")
Payment information
- All payments are processed by Stripe
- Your card details are stored by Stripe, not by us
- We never see or have access to your full card number
Cookies
- We use minimal, essential cookies to keep you logged in
- We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies on our site
Third-party services we use
Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification: ask us to correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hi@digestduck.com and we'll sort it within 30 days.
Data location
- Our servers are hosted in the EU
- OpenAI processes data in the United States under their data processing agreement
- Resend delivers emails via servers in the EU
Changes to this policy
- We'll update this policy if our practices change
- Significant changes will be communicated via email
